And if the cable isn't 240w as it claims, it can't be used with the 230w Lenovo Thunderbolt dock that is the only one that'll charge a gaming laptop. I don't think people pay attention to this stuff. To most, a cheap Chinese cable that says it'll do something is good enough even if it doesn't, which is likely.

For the vast majority of people, USB-C is amazing and this cable will be fine and not "overheat your phone".
It's only confusing, not misleading 😉
Both your device and the charger must agree on a charging standard, and the cable must be able to support the volts/amps
I've seen a number of cases where the the cable and charger support the necessary wattage, but limits on volt/amp combinations means less than maximal charging rates​
They're garbage.
