Not sure where your getting that info from. I am ordering another. Previously bought one for my younger brother and he's super happy with it.

I bought the version of this laptop with the 7600s for $730 in 12/2023 and have been very happy with it. Build quality, screen specs, and battery life is much better than anything I've ever owned in this price range. It's subject to intermittent (unintentional) toddler use and has only suffered a small dent on the corner that doesn't affect the screen. The only thing I remember was annoying at first was an issue with the preinstalled software causing sleep issues. It was fixed with updates I believe so I don't think it would affect anyone getting this version.

If the battery goes into a suspended emergency state it will wait until it charges a bit to work again. That's not a failure. I have this laptop.

noticed this as well. Makes you freak out thinking something is wrong.

Laptop is a great deal, charge it exclusively via 100W USB-C, don't believe to have done any gaming which justified using 270W brick.

Get yourself 2x 16gb sticks to from get-go to ensure enough open chrome tabs.

I bought this model awhile back for $700 as well and I've been pleasantly surprised with the quality of it. I bumped it up to 32GB and put in two 2TB M.2s cause why not. No complaints at all with it.

How easy are these RAM sticks to replace?

Just need to pull back cover off (10-ish screws) and you have access.

Fairly simple

Can anyone recommend a gaming laptop that can survive constant air travel and has excellent HDMI out? It will be used exclusively on a TV set when I reach my destinations. I'd purchase a desktop but I don't want to keep throwing it in a suitcase.

I had this happen using a 100w USB C and only way I got it to power on was from using the included charger. I'm wondering if I needed to give it more time on the USB C then or will it only come back on with the Asus charger?

as for the for the PC itself it's pretty solid. I put in 48gb ram and a 2tb drive on the extra slot. speakers are pretty bad but in a silent room it's ok. marvel rivals played pretty well on it

By the sounds of it, uninformed users are the more common problem, lol.

I now know 3 people who own this laptop who bought it primarily for gaming, all of them extremely happy with it, best bang for your buck for a gaming laptop out there. Its been $700 new multiple times now including two weeks ago but I didnt post it because hoping it edges down further to previous low of $670 new....

You mean besides this one? This has hard plastic so its pretty durable. If you are doing low level gaming Legion Go or Rog Ally will hold up to low level gaming, but its not cost effective as this which will do high level gaming.

Now that I recall, I had that happen as well, with switching to asus charger, once.

I should have gotten 48gb as well.
