Good deal. Bestbuy sketchiness. The open boxes were in the 440s-470s and now they jacked it up to 599 and 620. Nope.
Nice deal, nice laptop.

Is it just me or does it feel like it's impossible this year to get a decent deal on something with a bright screen? Feels like a few years ago Legion non pros were regularly coming with 500 nit screens at the 8-900 line and now nothing. Got a buddy looking for a laptop for work, needs 400+ nits (imo) and his budget is a grand and just... nothing.
I ended up buying one last time it was $700 and so far it's been a solid machine. 90% of the time I'm using it at work powered by a USB-C hub, so it's nice being able to leave the charger at home. For me, it's the best looking display at this price range on a gaming laptop and it's nice knowing I can upgrade both sticks of RAM and add an additional M.2 when needed. It does get a bit warm, but I haven't gamed on it long enough that it bothered me at all. No complaints with performance with what I play. The only thing that bothers me is the delete and F key spacing/placement. Otherwise, would buy again for sure.

I am also struggling to find good windows laptops with bright screens for working outdoors. I don't want to get a macbook but they seem to have much brighter displays
Let me know if you find any good deals!

I mean if your budget can go up to the 11-1300 range you can definitely get something like a Legion Pro 16" with a 800 nit display that will blind the shit out of you Stick Out Tongue

But under 1k it has felt dry Frown

IDK if this is in your budget, but compared to everything else I've been seeing it's a beast at the price point. Lookup reviews ofc, but raw specs look nice. Unfortunately my guy is a financial advisor so he has to have 10 key Frown

I know the power brick on these things are huge. Anyone know how the PD equivalency works to figure out the size/price of a suitable USB c charger?
It's pretty heavy so I'm trying to calculate how much additional I'll need to spend to make this setup lighter to travel with.
Is it based on the battery size (90WHrs)? If I get a 100w charger will that cover me?

I bought this laptop over the summer when it was on sale. I downgraded it to Win 10 and Windows activated without any issues. I did not enter a different key to do so. After setting everything up with Windows 10 I installed GRC InControl to prevent it from forcing an 'upgrade' to Win 11. It's been working liking a champ!

Is this any better than the similar Lenovo that got listed for $550. Hoping someone with more computer knowledge can provide some info.

I "think" what the 10 key means is the numpad portion of keyboard, if it is for the guy who's a financial advisor.

Just going to guess your referring to the yoga 2 in 1, that laptop is meant for portability and office productivity with a very small amount of gaming. This laptop is way better in performance if your looking to game a lot, and dont mind the added heft of the size so they are hitting different target markets. For example this laptop would handle a brand new Triple AAA game very well on most high end settings, the yoga would be playable but with a lot of adjustment's to low end settings.

Not really. The G14 has like 5/600nits and is constantly on sale.
