Not a great deal, in my opinion
This should be about the same price as the RZ50 deals that keep popping up

I have both in hand and planning to return both of them and just get a $299 Denon X1700h if Costco can ever get them back in stock.

Paid $1130 for the x3800h and $799 for the Rz50 and want to puke when I see prices wildly fluctuating at my expense.

It's open box and I am worried about a crazy $1,000 discount, just like the crazy Onkyo Rz50 price fluctuations. IMO if something is good, they don't need to knock off $1,000 to sell it.
I'm getting a return label for the Onkyo due to these crazy prices. It gives me a bad feeling that it's gonna break like my last Onkyo Rz-830. Zero warning - - just no sound after warranty ended and shop wants $400 to fix.
Best Buy adjusting price on the Denon $47 lower to match latest price drop, so now it's $1130 + tax.
Thanks for the update on the Integra but it's owned by the same company (Voxx Int'l) that owns Onkyo EEK!

If you looked at their financials...Both Voxx and Masimo( that owns Denon/Marantz) then look how far their sales are down, I dont think you would be questioning discount
There have been some significant discounts on products even introduced this year.
Frankly I dont see how either Voxx or Masimo( audio division) could take another year like this one without some massive restructuring or a sell off
People on AVS are speculating about a merger between them even

Not sure I would take much merit in the discounting as they could have started high( overpriced) in the first place...
Average street price is a better litmus test

The RZ50 has been around for years now with what look like literally hundreds of owners on AVS. They seem very happy with the unit and some even paid the $1500 MSRP when it first came out almost 4 years ago

Good luck in whatever you decide to do

Overpriced versus the competition in my opinion
Needs to be at the same pricing as the RZ50

I just bought the following speakers:

2 x MartinLogan F100
1 x MartinLogan C100
2 x MartinLogan MP10
2 x MartinLogam MW6

Would this be able to support this setup? I am pretty confused on power requirements, etc. I know Denon/Marantz/Onkyou have very high end AVR as well. I just need to know if this can support power for the speakers I have bought.

Thanks!

Should be ok for the 3800. I'm running Martin Logan front as well (surrounds are all ceiling).

The DRX 3.4 can't handle low impedance loads so I'd stay away from that!

Got it - sorry missed that part that the DRX won't be a good fit. Thanks

LOL...why would you not link something much more recent and with literally hundreds of actual owners
https://www.avsforum.com/threads/...e.3227263/

Based on those 6 posts in that link you provided there was only one person that owned the units. And even then, he was just testing versus doing an actual listening scenario...and from 2022...LOL Wink

I find it amazing how happy the actual owners of the RZ50 are.. Based on what is probably thousands of owners..I have not seen issues with low impedance loads In AVS forums.

BUT....there are people that own these units , including those with some variant of the RZ70 unit, as I do. They have posted , as I have, that there is certainly a difference in the amp/power supply of the the RZ50 etc and its bigger brothers

Even Gene from Audioholics pointed that out with this statement

" The Onkyo TX-RZ70 has a beefier amp section than the Denon AVR-X6800H as evident by the 15lbs weight difference in Onkyo's favor."

It will be if you get a good external amp. The outlaw 5000x was on sale $150 off. The Integra with outlaw combo around the same price point would be better than any stand alone receiver in my opinion

I noticed how quiet Warren (turnne) got after your question! I guess he didn't want to take any responsibility if the RZ50 doesn't work out!

These sales guys are really good at the selling part but not so good on the accountability!
