I got dual 14s of this model almost a year ago and they have exceeded expectations so far.

Had a single SVS PB-2000 before, and these are on a completely different level on a completely different universe. Was thinking about getting a PB 2000 Pro to pair with my existing sub, but for like $400 more than the cost of that single PB-2000 Pro I got the two Klipsch 14s.

Best subwoofer bass for buck value in the current market IMO.
Maybe get rid of some stuff so you have more space

When's the 14 coming back. The 16 is just too big for my space.

Has Klipsch solved its plate amp problem? I have 2 15's, had 3 plate amps go between them!

According to most reports, yep! I just got the 12" of this... and I have a few older gen Klipsch subs as well (I mean, they do on sale for like $150 for a 12" ), and these new RPs are in a completely different league... they play in the playground and trade blows with SVS, HSU, etc.

I am thinking real hard about this one... but Adorama also put a guitar I have been watching a long time on sale too... DAMN IT

This RP 1200 I have hits the lows harder and cleaner than the $2000 (that I paid $1000 for on a slick deal of course ) REL Predator HT 1508 that it replaced. I really wanted the 16" which wasn't on sale... except now it is...

Yep, I forgot to mention that part... most reviews I watched/read compared these to the other main players in the sub space in the same price category (1500-2500 for the 15"/16" options)... reviewed them with MSRP in mind. Because they don't have an app/room correction/other wizz bang features they got dinged a bit, but still the conclusions were that these were competitive. When they go on sale for half off of MSRP... that definitely changes things!

I will say, if you only have space or budget for one 16 inch or two 10 or 12 inch, two smaller subs are superior than one monster sub 99% of use cases.

The 10 & 12s are also on sale apparently.

If you can get two 16 inch monsters, go for it.

Or get 4! I have seen one of the guys at audioholics got 4 of his dream sub(perlisten? don't remember), one in each corner of the room... he said it sounds pretty OK Big Grin.

It's a pain in the butt, but if you turn off the sub between uses, it will last longer. This information was gleaned while researching and replacing the amp in my Jamo. Fingers crossed, it's true. I love the sub.

My SPL150 kicked the bucket a couple weeks ago. Got this on sale and I'm waiting on delivery. Pretty hyped as the Klipsch 15 was the most powerful sun I've had so far. If you have the space and budget, I'd consider the purchase of at least one of these.

You get what you pay for. I'm more into quality than quantity. I also run above average speakers though, so I would expect the same quality in sub. I'm spending $1500 on a rythmik 15" over this. Even Audioholics mentioned this thing has quite a bit of port noise which would make me want to throw the damn thing out the window.

The RP-1400's extension is incredible.
