I wonder if I should get a 3rd one so I can build all 3 variants.
Was going to say - buy it at this price for $162.99. Build it. Use it to go back to when this was cheapest … buy it … go back to the future and then return this lol … but I don't see any price cheaper than $240 until now. Oh well. At that point might be just best to get the almanac.
Yeah, I thought it was $159.99 for a while.

$160 is the general sales price. I'm guessing you found it as an in-store return?

Or a store wanting to clear inventory. eBay has plenty of sealed copies listed for $150-170 shipped and more sold for less, many with best offer, so it must have gone on sale significantly cheaper at times. My Walmart had many sets retiring and non-retiring on sale for 50% off in the past month. I've seen pictures of sets as much as 80% off at Costcos and Walmarts.

This is a really nice deal, but I highly suspect there's been a fair amount of stock that was highly discounted. I could be totally wrong though and maybe those people are just really pressed for cash.

This was released at $160 shortly before Lego bumped every existing set by ~20% in 2022. Current retail is $200 on the shop Lego site.

Please excuse the crudity of this model; they didn't have time to build it to scale or to paint it.
