I believe it is better than the 4050 and comparable with the 4060.
The laptop has played anything I have run on it and for the price is a great deal.
There is 1 annoyance that I am assume is a software issue and that is issues bringing device out of sleep.
I end up having to do a full shutdown anytime the device goes into full sleep mode.

Which one is better? RX 7700S vs RTX 4700.

Somewhere between the 4060 and 4070. Update your drivers. I had the same issue when I first got it but it hasn't happened after I updated.

The 7700s is slightly faster than the rtx 4060 and slightly slower than the rtx 4070.

4070 laptops should be this price by now. But they are surprisingly close

Make sure you've updated your bios, vbios, and drivers for the sleep issue. That was fixed in one of the updates quite a while ago.

It should handle even the newest games just fine at reasonable settings - like 60 FPS+ @ 1080p with High or Ultra settings. And older or less demanding titles easily at higher resolutions and/or framerates.

I bought this when it went on sale around Prime days this summer. I play BF 2042 on it and have played Fallout 76 and ESO. All of them run pretty well at High settings for 1080p.

This shows 2 GEN2 USB3.2 ports, but mine had a sticker on it that said one was USB4 and it does data/display/power.

I really enjoy using it and have never wished it was faster at any normal PC tasks including 3d printing and modeling.

I'm typing on the A16 as I write this and would highly recommend. I'm coming from an Asus ROG to the A16 and think it's a great buy. Firstly, the 7700s is said to be as powerful as a 4070 in certain games. In my experience, I usually play things like Starsector, Pillars of Eternity, Dwarf Fortress, Dungeon of the Endless, Minecraft, Darkest Dungeon FTL, and other low power games, but I also play Baldurs Gate 3, RDR2, and Total Warhammer 2. For the low power games and general computer the laptop is whisper quiet if the fans run at all given how cool the laptop is. For the AAA games, it does a great job and I can usually play them on High to Ultra settings. There is some bloatware, but that can be solved by installing G-Helper to take control over the laptop's capabilities. Highly recommend.

Does anyone know if Asus has another bargain deal like this one, in a convertible/2 in 1 laptop, with an active stylus?

is it just me... but for this price I would want higher resolution then 1920 x 1200 or perhaps I am talking about $800 laptops.
