Nah, this was just at $700 yesterday morning and before. I wouldn't buy at this price unless you can get the ultra 9 for $800 or less. Last night they're was 2 local ones, best buy open box pickup for $499.

I wouldn't pick this up unless $700 or less.

How is the ultra 9 with 24g for $680 open box. Heard horror stories from Rossman repair about Asus and Nexus yt

Is the chassis good for longevity?

We own this model, bought in Taiwan a year ago for around $1200. It's pretty well built and has held up well. Better build quality than our Zenbook 14 OLED.

The Taiwan model is a 4GB 3050, which is slower than the newer 6GB version.

This model didn't even exist a year back.
it only released around a month or two ago.

Our model (purchased in Feb 2023) is a Vivobook Pro 15 2.8K 120Hz OLED with a 3050 4GB. The chassis looks identical.

Didn't notice this was 60Hz FHD OLED, they really need to get rid of those screens.

The link is to the Open Box items. If you scroll down to the "More Buying Options" there is the ability to view the new item price. OP needs to update the link.

just got mine. I payed $700 for an excellent condition one. Seems pretty good condition but there is a sticker on the top that says it was "DOA, wont setup, bad mobo or ssd" but they mustve fixed it. Which is odd, didnt realize i was buying a refurbished one and not just an open box. On the bottom it also says it was a display model.

The audio sounds like absolute shit when someones speaking in a youtube vid. Coming from a macbook m1 max idk if i'll be using the speakers on this thing very much.
I did turn off enhanced audio in settings and at least now it doesnt sound blown out. Read online this is a common problem with windows laptops. Shame.

The screen is plenty bright and i'll mainly be using it for audio production, development, and graphic design, so more than 60hz is not really a big deal. the 1080 is better than i thought it would be too. Fine for a laptop for my use cases. Any graphic design work i'll do will be set up on an external 4k screen anyways.

The keyboard feels a little cheap but im actually pretty impressed by it. Very comfy to type on, and the added numpad on a mac is very welcome. Trackpad is also pretty large and nice.. i guess

My first windows machine in a long time. I still use apple but have been needing a windows rig. Seems perfect for that.

That being said, im heavily considering returning it because of the atrocious audio and it being refurbished instead of just an open box return. Or maybe thats what best buy means by open box units i guess. Although, there is that beefy dell g16 thats currently on sale.... might go for that.

I run crossover for the few things i need to use it for. I've wanted a windows machine to run some old audio software and some of my old audio gear requires windows.

I also do some 3D work and some visual work with Touchdesigner, both utilizing Nvidia GPU's for some things.
