You can definitely game on 3050, but mostly old gen (PS4 era). Solid laptop overall. Not sure why you need a dedicated graphics card for content creation, but doesn't hurt.

Does it have USB-C charging or do you have to carry around the big brick that comes with it? I had checked the specs but it only mentioned about power delivery

Yes , u can charge with USBC , I use 45W for all day charging, works fine for my needs, u will need bigger charger for gaming though!

If you're not playing a game or doing something that's pushing the 3050 would this PC use an integrated graphics chip to save battery life?

This looks like a great laptop for creatives and image editing.

Pros:
  • Fantastic OLED screen, 600 Nits, 100% color coverage.
  • Excellent modern CPU. If you're going with Intel, this is the CPU you should be targeting in a laptop for value right now.
  • Mixed on board and upgradeable RAM. You get the benefit of 8GB of faster onboard RAM for AI and iGPU use, but you can also upgrade the other 8GB SODIMM to increase your total RAM.
  • Discrete RTX 3050 GPU. It's not a modern gaming GPU, but it will play older games better than the intel graphics.
  • 8.5 - 10 hours of battery life and USB-C charging.
  • Ports: Thunderbolt 4 & HDMI 2.1, 2 USB-A 3, 2 USB-C 4.
Cons:
  • GPU is underpowered for modern games.
  • Case is plastic and cheaper build quality than an aluminum case.
  • Screen resolution is FHD, 60Hz.
As long as you're not counting on this laptop to play modern PC games, you should be very happy with this laptop for most other workloads. With the caveat that video editing and programming will require you to upgrade to more RAM.

I've been looking for a new laptop for a while and was debating this one. I need something for general everyday use and BASIC gaming (Like mainly I've just been playing a lot of Fall Guys lol). Would this do the Jobe or should I keep looking? Trying to stay under a grand, preferably lower.

I have this laptop and the only thing I'll say is I wish it was $120 Hz everything else is perfect
