I know that this is the option for storage expansion to play games from on Xbox Series consoles, but man is it sad to see a 2TB for $200 being a flaming hot deal when regular 2TB m.2 Gen 4 NVME SSD's can be found for ~$120 without too much issue, not to mention the options for higher capacities. Proprietary storage was one of the things that really hurt the PSVita, and Xbox is similarly getting murdered this generation in sales (it isn't even close), and I think the storage is one part of the failure (games of course as well).

You're correct. There were far superior and cheaper drive options on the day one release of the 2 new Xboxes. I get they have to build, test, etc. but it's still frustrating to see these "sale" prices. I'm to cheap and just transfer games back and forth from standard plug in hard drives as the little extra time it takes isn't worth hundreds of dollars to upgrade to this even though it would be soooooo nice.

Talk about a huge rip off, people who are willingly paying for this are the reasons companies think they can get away with this crap..... A drive like this should not be any more than $140-150 at max counting their kick backs, especially with how cheap 2TB drives currently are getting running around $100 for the non big name brands.

Agree it's extremely over-priced, but gives you so much extra space These actually sell used on eBay for about $200 which is crazy funny.

I got the 1TB version when it was like $80-90 last year. Worth every penny, 1tb isn't enough these days I was constantly getting rid of games and not wanting to try new ones. I have enough games I play regularly that I couldn't try out new games (with gamepass) without getting rid of something I still play. 2TB seems like overkill but I'm sure some people have a wider range of games they hop on regularly than I do.

Which is why the old adages always hold true.

"A sucker born every minute"
"A fool and their money will soon be parted"

Same people later complain why stuff is so expensive or why they have no money.... Major lack of people knowing the value of a dollar and making not so smart decisions. Just like our housing market coming to a crash hopefully soon and huge, I need to buy some property on the cheap like the last crash.

Nice. I bought this 2TB one from an older fella off of Facebook marketplace for $80. It has been holding up nicely on my son's Xbox.

It's funny and painful seeing this ridiculously overpriced option on the front page.

Love my Xbox but they fumbled hard on the storage setup.

Agree just sold a house last year, it was crazy as people bided up the price by 20k. I was shocked, the winning bid also opt out of an inspection to win the house.

Have another house for sale next month so hope the prices keep rising and selling fast like they have been this past month in my area.

I hope for a crash by Xmas to get in more on the stock market, housing etc.
