That's a trade off of a ps5 vs Xbox. I get it I have both. Has nothing to do with a 2x markup on the same speed ssd. The trade off is the convenience of it being plug and play. Which I stated. And said could be priced a little higher, just not twice as high. This is a straight money grab. Not sure why you would defend a trillion dollar company.
It's a 2230 from a name brand, with an enclosure. It's not 2X markup at $200.

I just paid $150 for a 320 GB CF express card for my camera. Not all memory is cheap.

Not sure why you're defending the other company either. Sony is notorious for proprietary storage that is always ridiculously priced. It's what killed the momentum of the PSP and outright killed the Vita, and is still prevalent in their cameras. Enjoy it for this gen, but don't expect it to last forever.

PS5 is plug and play too...you literally unscrew a slot and pop it in.

Yes, the price is outrageous and offensive, but if you need the space and don't want to be moving/deleting games on a regular basis, this is the cheapest 2TB has ever been and in a year you won't remember how much you paid, but you will love having all your games downloaded and ready to play.

Every console and accessory, and PC Parts are expensive af. This is nothing new, the motto applies to everything and everyone - don't like it, don't buy it.

No they are not. Compared to the rest of the market the xbox 2TB is expensive. Just look for any other 2TB NVME drive here on slick deals and you will see them as low as $130. Seagate was able to charge that price because they were the only ones making an expansion card. Now that WD is making them, they have some competition and had to bring their prices down.

I don't know what you're being downvoted but this and the "certified" Bluetooth headphones marketing scheme is exactly why I sold my Xbox. Hello Nintendo and PC ...

Nintendo is way more overpriced. Clunky old technology at next gen prices. 😆

Nobody makes a 4tb expandable storage card for xbox. These 2tb seagates are the biggest you can get. They act like the internal hard drive and allow you to play xs games off of them, unlike regular external drives that are more for game storage and you're stuck moving games around all the time.

NewEgg has it for the same price, but with a $10 off code. Also if you have capital one rewards, they're giving you like $30 off or something like that. https://www.newegg.com/seagate-ex...6820248214

Not a deal for one its $185 at walmart, and for 2 even at either price they are stupid expensive so hard pass. I got one of those 512 ones for $60 last time target had them and even at that price I felt dirty, but I was getting tired of uninstalling and reinstalling games....
